Kathryn Blackwell

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Kathryn Blackwell is the Co-Founder and CEO of Open Dør Dispensaries, a national cannabis retail franchise headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. With over three decades of experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector, Kathryn has built a successful reputation for elevating brands through effective e-commerce development, product innovation, and strategic communications. Her background in the franchised consumer food industry provided a strong foundation for her transition into the cannabis space. Since establishing Open Dør Dispensaries in 2020, Kathryn has integrated proven franchise strategies and merchandising practices into the dispensary brand to deliver a modern aesthetic and transform the consumer experience. Prior to entering the cannabis market, Kathryn co-founded international franchisor Kahala Corp, which owned more than 12 brands, among them Cold Stone Creamery, TacoTime, Samurai Sam’s, and others, with more than 3,500 locations operating in 23 countries.

Chelsea Mulligan

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Chelsea Mulligan is the Co-Founder and COO of national cannabis retail franchise Open Dør Dispensaries.  Since 2013, she has forged an extensive industry resume at the executive level, specializing in operational compliance and quality management for cannabis businesses. Chelsea has brought over 30 dispensaries to market throughout the U.S. and composed multiple winning license applications. Chelsea’s intuitive understanding of the cannabis business environment, complex regulatory framework, and emerging retail trends led her to co-establish Open Dør Dispensaries in 2020, with headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. Chelsea heads operations and strategy, implementing best-of-industry processes, compliance, and standards to create the ultimate dispensary retail model. Prior to Open Dør Dispensaries, Chelsea was instrumental in evolving cannabis policy on an international, federal, and state level.

Bryan McLaren

Strategic Advisor

Bryan McLaren serves as strategic advisor at Open Dør Dispensaries, a national cannabis retail franchise headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has accrued over a decade of experience in social, economic, and environmental development of complex business organizations with a focus on sustainability in emerging industries. In addition to his role at Open Dør, Bryan also serves as Chairman and CEO of Zoned Properties, a real estate development firm for the legal cannabis industry. As a certified and licensed realtor, Green Roof Professional,  LEED Green Associate, and former City Sustainability Commissioner, Bryan provides compliant real estate, zoning, permitting, and operational expertise to Open Dør Dispensaries franchise. Bryan has navigated state regulatory programs as an advisor in over ten cannabis markets for over 100 development projects.
